Started Richard Bausch’s Hello to the Cannibals last week and have had a hard time putting it down. I’m about halfway through and thus far it reminds me so much (in the very best ways) of Wallace Stegner’s Angle of Repose. In both, the protagonist becomes obsessed with a historical character.
