Today it was ghastly hot. Santa Ana winds with the smell of ash & smoke on the air. Nearly 90 degrees.
Unbelievable for nearly-November! And the predictions are that it will near 100 degrees by mid-week. Oh my!
But despite the heat outside, the Pacific waters were cold on my toes! In this photo John captured my grimace as the water came up to my calf and it was a kind of delicious pain. :)

That looks so fun! It was hot, wasn’t it? A week ago I was sipping chai tea and listening to Christmas music, and now I’m in shorts and a T-shirt with the fans blowing. :-)
Compare and contrast with that photo of you a little further down the page. So glad you lived through all that so you could enjoy all this — and share your glee with the rest of us. :)
sara: I like the contrast between the 2 pics, too. Same smile, similar pose, so much more _health_. I feel so very lucky to be the now me.
JG: I just can’t believe that it’s so crazy hot this week! and such tragic fires everywhere…like fire and brimstone in Irvine today with ash falling and the air quality so low the entire sky is glowing orange…
