the tux thing, he’s dealing with it, originally uploaded by pilgrimgirl. I couldn’t be more proud! :) Although GameBoy says he has no clue how he’ll play his cello well while wearing such a heavy suit (typically he wears a t-shirt and shorts), I expect he’ll do just fine in his big concert debut!

chives!, originally uploaded by pilgrimgirl. Because I look like a really nice, submissive, middle-class suburban wife/Mom (not to mention the visual baggage that comes with my disability), I think I’m stereotyped a lot. People seem to put me into a class of rather gentle submissive wives. Most of the time this doesn’t bother me much–and [...]

fuzzy peach, originally uploaded by pilgrimgirl. fresh peaches + tapioca pudding = teh awesome (just in case you didn’t already know that) Photo shows my peach tree at night. I love sitting in the garden as the sun sets and darkness spreads across the garden. Typically I am alone there in the gloaming, wholly absorbed [...]

the daily catch (was dinner tonite), originally uploaded by pilgrimgirl. This was my garden basket this morning. See those awesome heirloom beans? They were so good (just finished dinner a few minutes ago). Had sauce with the Roma tomatoes that you can just barely spy underneath the beans. What did you pick from your garden [...]

Yatta!, originally uploaded by mind on fire. We took the kids to the beach tonite. For one last sandy picnic before school begins. I was feeling a bit chilled and weary, so I let the kids do all of the exploring and getting wet while I enjoyed the serenity of the waves from my chair… [...]

windowsill rosebud, originally uploaded by pilgrimgirl. Went to Meeting this morning for the first time in many weeks. Felt so buoyed by the smiling faces of Friends. I had some important insights while I was there, but most of all I just let myself be happy that I felt well enough to attend again. John [...]

peach blossom, originally uploaded by pilgrimgirl. This is the image that our last contest winner selected as her prize. Good choice, don’t you think? My peach tree brings me lots of joy. Especially right now, when my peaches are oh-so-close to being ripe. The tree was a Mother’s Day gift many years ago. It’s one [...]

monstrous II (photoshopped), originally uploaded by pilgrimgirl. Had a bit of a scare when my leg got swollen and inflamed again on Sunday. The doctors switched my antibiotics today and we’re watching it carefully. I was a bit of a mess though for awhile there, worried about my infection returning again. Deep, deep, sigh. I [...]

lavender with bee, originally uploaded by pilgrimgirl. I spent several hours this weekend in my garden. It was bliss. I pulled weeds, watched insects, and chatted with my neighbors. I also ate mostly out of the garden because I was on my own and I’m quite content with a lunch of grilled zucchini. I know [...]
