mushy gushy warm & fuzzy

written by Jana May 9, 2007

The folks over at FMH have written such thoughtful and interesting replies to my post about blogging and books, that my heart is just feeling all happy and warm right now. Some days I think this blogging thing is just a load of hooey, other days I realize how many bright folks I’ve met via this venue and I thank my lucky stars. Today is definitely a star day. :)

Cool, Jana! Thanks for the link. I haven’t been on fmh lately but after reading a few of the responses, I’ve already added a few books to my “must-read” list.

My book of the past few weeks…..maybe few months, it’s been a long spring!….has been this because I’ve been having a quarter-life crisis. :-P And I just finished this, which is a fairly quick read, mostly entertaining action, yet has some really interesting pro-war agendas that give insight to how conservative republicans think about the current political situation.

i don’t read FMH very often, but i went to check out your post. nicely done! i’ve been thinking a lot lately about books and blogging and blogging about books … i think i’m spending too much time blogging – including blogging about books – and not enough time reading. *sigh*

BTW i posted a review of the most recent book i’ve read on my book blog earlier today.

About Me

About Me

Hi there friend, and welcome to my blog. I started writing on the internet two decades ago. Since then I've started and finished a PhD program, left the Mormon church and became a Quaker, got divorced, remarried, found full-time work in academia, took up rock climbing and outrigger canoeing, and traveled across the globe (China! Belgium! Italy! Chicago! Montana! Portland! Gettysburg! and oh-so-many points in-between). This blog is eclectic and random--it has poetry and cooking and books. And cats. And flowers. And the ocean (my ocean). But in that sense it's a good reflection of me and my wide-ranging, far-reaching, magpie curiosity.
