With 9999 rooms, this palace is quite amazing. The size of the buildings/rooms themselves are small. It’s the plazas around the buildings that are so expansive that they are mind-boggling.
In the bottom photo I’m rubbing one of the 81 brass knobs on the door for good luck–a must-do when you visit the emperor’s palace. :)
